Hooray, so pumped to have worked on my first plugin for Woothemes themselves. Joel at Woothemes contacted me through Codeable.io about creating a Salesforce integration for sale in the Woothemes stable, the plugin isn’t up for sale yet but we can hope to see it after the holidays.
The integration is on clients and sales, with a backend settings page for entering of API credentials and also choosing which data will be sent from Woocommerce into Salesforce.
Depending on the choices above, the API connection kicks in whenever a new user registers on your Woocommerce site, at which point a Salesforce account is created with only the User’s login name and other basic details, the account ID is stored against the WP account of the user as user meta.
Then, if that user goes on to place a sale, or fill out their billing or address details in the myaccount screen (again depending on the choices made in settings) then it creates a contact within the Salesforce account and populates with all the address and user data, and if a sale it creates a Salesforce order as well.
This post is in the work section — I need to find some time to get some of my other actual work moved from hottest projects blog posts into this section, but that’s another story – I will keep you updated as to its progress in the blog,
The chances are I built the above for one of my freelance clients. You can hire me at Codeable.io - an WordPress specialist outsourcing site that vets developers to make sure they are of the highest standard.
